ZAGREB, 19 Aug (Hina) - Croatia's Lara Zagorac on Sunday became the European champion in the girls' U14 category at the European Youth Rapid Chess Championship which took place in Prague, while Croatian Erik Golubović finished second in the boys' U12 category.
The 17-18 August European Youth Rapid Chess Championships with six age categories: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 brought together 670 young chess players from 39 countries.
Croatia's team included 16 players: 10 in the boys' section and six in the girls' section.
