Infobip says in a press release that it has enabled, in cooperation with WhatsApp, transparent and timely communication between health ministries and citizens to prevent the spreading of false and incorrect information on coronavirus.
The solution makes it possible for citizens to obtain, in a fast and simple way, via a publicly available number, that is, WhatsApp chatbot, verified and correct information on coronavirus as well as the latest news on possibilities of testing, travel or local restrictions.
Infobip executive director Silvio Kutić said said the company was glad its solution had proven to be useful and successful in a large number of countries.
Infobip's chatbot solution on WhatsApp has been introduced, among others, by the ministries of health of Great Britain, France, Germany, India and Nigeria, as well as by the World Health Organisation office for Southeast Asia.
Close to five million people have used the solution and so far 70 million messages between the health ministries of the countries involved in the initiative and citizens have been exchanged.
