Twenty-five of the new cases were registered in Split-Dalmatia County, five in Osijek-Baranja County, three in Dubrovnik-Neretva County, and one each in Koprivnica-Krizevci County, Sibenik-Knin County and Slavonski Brod-Posavina County.
Beros said that 22 cases had been confirmed on the southern island of Brac and one on the nearby island of Hvar.
"Let this be a lesson to us, there is no relaxing. We must continue to be cautious and maintain physical distance. One wrong step and we are back to square one," the health minister said.
In the last 24 hours 1,448 people have been tested, and no one has died. The death toll currently stands at 86.
A total of 184 infected people are in hospitals, 11 fewer than on Thursday, and 13 are on ventilators; 651 patients have been discharged from health institutions, 21 more than on Thursday, and 27 have recovered at home.
