Plenkovic was one of about only forty guests invited to Milanovic's inauguration and oath-taking ceremony but was virtually the only person who did not wish to make a comment on the ceremony nor on what he expects from Milanovic during his term in office.
While Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandrokovic told reporters that he assessed Milanovic's inauguration speech as a good start to his term and Constitutional Court Chief Justice Miroslav Separovic wished the new president all the best in discharging his duty, Plenkovic just waved off reporters and said "thanks"' as he left the president's office.
Former presidents Ivo Josipovic and Stjepan Mesic and other officials commented on Milanovic's stepping into office.
It seems that Plenkovic is sticking to his announcement that he and Milanovic will have a "tough cohabitation."
