The Piotr Nurowski Prize for Best European Young Athlete was established in 2011 by the European Olympic Committees (EOC).
The prize-giving ceremony will be held in Warsaw on Thursday.
In late August, Grgic became the world junior champion in the 800-metre freestyle and in the 1500-metre freestyle at the 7th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships in Budapest. He also broke the old world junior record by more than 5 and a half seconds in the 1500-metre race.
The winner of the Piotr Nurowski Prize - voted by the participant national Olympic committees at EOC General Assembly out of the five nominees – receives the Trophy and a training scholarship.
