According to HGK statistics, in February 2018, the import of 1.28 million roses was worth EUR 482,000, rising by 46% compared to January 2018 when the import was valued at EUR 330,000.
Furthermore, the import of these flowers in February 2018 rose 11% year on year. In February 2017, Croatia imported 1.08 million roses.
Also, during 2018, negative trends in the import of all cut flowers were reversed.
In 2017, Croatia imported 1,555 tonnes of cut flowers and the worth of those imports stood at EUR 8.3 million, dropping by 8.5% in comparison to 2016.
According to available data for the first 11 months of last year, Croatia imported 1,663 tonnes of cut flowers, worth EUR 9.1 million, the HGK recently reported.
