ZAGREB, Feb 25 (Hina) - When it comes to absorbing money from EU funds for the previous programme period (2007-2013), Croatia was above the European average, however, the country ranks below the European average according to the funds contracted so far for the current programme period (2014-2020) and it is necessary to invest maximum effort to accelerate this process, European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu said in an interview with Hina.
