The Croatian Armed Forces are a modern, respected and effective professional military organisation, ready at all times to respond to security challenges and to help Croatian citizens in the event of accidents and crises, natural disasters, search and rescue operations, as well as in humanitarian missions in neighbouring countries and other partner and allied countries. The source of success of our Armed Forces is the patriotism, knowledge and capability of the Croatian soldiers, non-commissioned and commissioned officers. It is our lasting obligation to continue doing all we can to ensure that the Croatian soldiers have adequate conditions for the performance of their day to day duties and that they are prepared and equipped for the execution of tasks set before them, the President said in her message.
On this occasion, the President decided to promote 299 officers, decorate 3,796 and commend five servicemen and servicewomen and Defence Ministry staff.
