As for internal migrations, 80,736 people changed their place of residence within Croatia in 2014.
The highest positive migration balance was recorded in the City of Zagreb, where the number of people who moved into it from elsewhere in the country and abroad exceeded the number of people who moved away by 3,040.
The highest negative migration balance was observed in eastern Vukovar-Srijem County, where 2,579 more people left the county than moved into it.
Out of the total number of immigrants into Croatia, 39.2% came from Bosnia and Herzegovina, while of the total number of emigrants, most moved to Germany. Of the total number of people who moved into Croatia, 45.3% were Croatian citizens and 54.6% were foreigners, while of the total number of people who emigrated from Croatia, 93.7% were Croatian citizens and 6.2% were foreigners.
