New Dubrovnik - Split passenger ship route introduced

DUBROVNIK, May 4 (Hina) - A new fast passenger ship and catamaran route, Split - Dubrovnik was presented in the southern coastal town of Dubrovnik on Monday.

Captain Luka Tomic informed that this larger ship will be able to travel to Korcula in less than two hours and the trip to Split will be just over four hours.

The Split - Dubrovnik - Split route proved to be successful in the 2014 season.

The new catamaran is equipped with 320 seats and will connect Dubrovnik and Split and islands in between, four times a week in May and daily from June to September and three times a week in October. Captain Tomic said that he expected around 700 passengers each day.

"This is certainly a good way to connect Dubrovnik and we expect a growing number of passengers travelling toward Dubrovnik, including Mjet," Dubrovnik Port director Antun Asic said.

The price of a ticket from Dubrovnik to Split will be HRK 180 which will stop on its way in Mljet, Korcula, Brac and Hvar.
