The Croatian government twitter account, which has over 61,000 followers, was also the 2nd most communicative twitter account in the world, with 54% of ‘tweets’ replies to questions directed at them. The Croatian government has made a conscious effort to establish connections on Twitter, unilaterally following 511 other world leaders.

The Croatian government is particularly active on Twitter with institutional accounts for the government and the foreign ministry designed to interact with followers and connect with other world leaders. The Government of Croatia is among the 15 most prolific Twitter accounts among all governments posting more than 33 times each day.

The Croatian government Twitter account is particularly engaging, and highly conversational with more than half of its tweets being @replies to other Twitter users. Tweets are mostly in Croatian, but some of them are in English.
