VUKOVAR, Nov 20
(Hina) - Residents of Vukovar and local associations
of war veterans and their families on Thursday held commemorative
events on the premises of the Velepromet storage facility, a
short-lived concentration camp set up by the Yugoslav People's Army
(JNA) and Serbian paramilitary forces during the siege of Vukovar, and
at the former Ovcara farm where over 260 POWs were killed after this
eastern Croatian town fell into the hands of Serb rebels and the JNA
in mid-November 1991.
