(Hina) - The defence team for a former land army
commander, General Mladen Kruljac, on Tuesday requested the acquittal
of its client in its closing arguments before the Osijek County Court,
insisting that no evidence was found to prove corruption charges
against Kruljac, one of six defendants accused of having defrauded the
budget of the municipality of Sibinj of 58 million kuna and of having
embezzled three million kuna from the state budget.
