Jovanovic said that in the first half of his term he had adopted many decisions and launched numerous processes which at first glance need not be approved by the 70,000 school employees. He said he could understand that the 13,135 who signed the petition so far disapproved of his work but that he had not become minister to be "Mister Congeniality."
"My job is to make education equally available to all under equal terms, raise the quality of education, science and sports, bring more order to the system, increase its efficiency and use as well as possible the limited resources at our disposal."
