Croatia ranked 49th in World Economic Forum's Gender Gap Report

ZAGREB, Oct 25 (Hina) - Croatia retained last year's 49th place in the World Economic Forum's latest Gender Gap Report which shows a reduction over the last year in the disparity between men and women in 136 observed countries based on women's participation in politics, economic equality, and the right to education and health care.

Iceland, Finland and Norway top the 2013 rankings, while Croatia remained at 49.

In terms of economic participation, Croatia was ranked 61st, in education 47th, in health care 34th, and in politics 50th.

In the overall rankings, Austria was 19th, Slovenia 38th, Serbia 42nd, jumping eight places from 2012, Italy 71st and Hungary 87th.
