MOSTAR, June 14
(Hina) - An extraordinary sitting of the parliament
in the Bosnian Serb entity Republika Srpska was convened on Friday in
Banja Luka to discuss the protests in Sarajevo and the blockades of
the government and parliament buildings last week. Lawmakers assessed
that the protests were politically motivated to put pressure on RS MPs
in an attempt to give the international community additional authority
to amend the constitution at the detriment of the entity and had
nothing to do with the law on identification numbers.
