Property prices in May drop 5.4% year on year

ZAGREB, June 9 (Hina) - Asking prices for real estate in Croatia in May dipped 0.6 per cent on the month and fell 5.4 per cent on the year, the CentarNekretnina company said earlier in the week.

In Zagreb, property prices declined 0.2% on the month and 6.5% on the year. The average asking price for a flat in the capital in May was 1,610 euros per square metre.

On the coast, prices fell 1.2% on the month and 4% on the year.

The average price of a house along the coast in May was 1,532 euros per square metre, down 0.9% on the month and 4.8% on the year.

The average price of a flat along the Adriatic was 1,606 euros per square metre, down 2.3% on the month and the year, while the average price of a luxury apartment on the coast in May was 1,977 euros, down 0.7% on the month and 0.8% on the year.
