BELGRADE, March 24
(Hina) - Serbia on Sunday started commemorating
the 14th anniversary of the beginning of the NATO-led bombing campaign
against that country while it used to be under the regime of strongman
Slobodan Milosevic. During two-and-a-half months of bombardments,
which the alliance launched after the failure of negotiations which
Belgrade and Kosovo Albanians had conducted in a bid to stop the
Serbian authorities' repression against local Albanians, the death
casualties in the then Federal Republic of Yugoslavia rose to some
2,500 with 12,500 being injured.
