Kroatien Kreativ 2013 will be held throughout Germany in the next few months to mark Croatia's accession to the European Union on July 1, featuring film, theatre, the cultural heritage and tourism.
Neumann and Zlatar Violic recently met at a media conference in Brussels, so today he asked her about the current media situation in Croatia. Zlatar Violic said Croatia was working on a new media strategy which highlighted professional standards.
Commenting on VAT, Neumann said the rate on books was a big topic on the EU level and that in Germany it was seven per cent on print books and 19 per cent on e-books.
Zlatar Violic invited him to visit Croatia and the Dubrovnik Summer Festival which Neumann accepted.
