Copper inventories declined by 5,350 tonnes after falling by 6,475 tonnes on Tuesday. Benchmark three months delivery copper was last at $2,305 against Tuesday's kerb close of $2,292. "Obviously the stock falls are supporting the market," one trader commented. But along with other market operators the trader said that there was stiff bands of resistance above the market. These levels were placed at $2,310, $2,320 and $2,350. Support was pegged at $2,250. Aluminium moved $1 higher to $1,589 but continued to lack upside momentum despite a stocks fall. Nickel moved $20 up to $7,325, while zinc was $6 higher at $1,266. Tin was last at $5,740, unchanged. Alloy was quoted at $1,470/75, little moved. FRANCUSKA BURZA - 09. travnja 1997.
