Without said accreditation, farmers cannot obtain incentives from the European Union.
Jakovina was attending a meeting of the European Union's agriculture ministers as an observer.
He said two crossings on the Croatian-Bosnian border for the transport of plant and animal products would be ready by the end of March.
Bosnia and Herzegovina has requested another such border crossing and this will probably be granted, but this is not a requirement that has to be met by July 1, when Croatia will join the EU.
The meeting addressed a reform of the Common Agricultural Policy which could be late because the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) has not been agreed. For Croatia, it is extremely important that the MFF be agreed on time to avoid being unable to draw funds from the MFF and at the same time lose the right to funds from IPARD (Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance for Rural Development).
