Sept, Oct see 1 mln more nights y-o-y

ZAGREB, Nov 11 (Hina) - Positive trends in physical tourist turnover in Croatia continued on through the post-season and so in October 1.84 million nights were recorded, which is 10.5% more than for the same month last year and which has contributed to a 6.4% growth in the first ten months of the year, to 69.2 million nights, the Tourism Ministry reported on Friday.

German tourists account for the greatest growth in tourist nights in October, with 13% more than in 2011.

Tourism Minister Ostojic said the number of tourists from virtually all important tourist markets had grown this year, which is the result of an advertising campaign aimed at off-peak season travelling.

He added that significant growth had been recorded in continental tourism too. In the first ten months of the year, Zagreb experienced 1.1 million nights, which is 9% more on the year.
