The Dutch Embassy to Croatia helped with the equipping of the BIC's premises. The BIC includes an information point of the European Cyclists's Federation. Through partnership with the Netherlands, there is also information about events there.
In an address via video link, Dutch Ambassador Stella Ronner-Grubacic said the bicycle was an integral part of life in the Netherlands.
She announced that cooperation on the project would continue in 2013, saying it was an important year for Croatia because of the planned accession to the European Union. She said the Dutch Embassy planned a series of interesting activities to celebrate that event.
The BIC was opened on International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, at the beginning of European Mobility Week, which ends on September 22.
