The electricity transmission grid in the area was switched off to lessen the threat in the event of an escalating fire.
A wildfire which raged at Plano near Trogir, west of Split, on Saturday was brought under control in the meantime.

(Hina) - Four canadair planes and two helicopters were
engaged on early Sunday morning to help over 60 firefighters who were
battling a blaze near residential areas of Sitno Donje, east of Split.
The fire-fighters managed to prevent the spreading of the fire towards
the nearby rocket base in Zrnovnica, the local authorities reported on
Sunday morning.
