"Croatia’s accession to the European Union is a priority for the British Government, and the Minister is keen to learn about Croatia’s progress as the country continues to work towards meeting its commitments ahead of the expected date of accession on 1 July 2013, in particular in areas relating to judicial reform and civil society development," reads the embassy's press release.
"The Minister is also interested in discussing the EU perspectives of the region and how the UK and Croatia can continue to work together bilaterally and at the EU and international level, on which there are many opportunities for the two countries to cooperate."
