Croatian, Bosnian premiers support joint projects

SARAJEVO, July 7 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic and Bosnian Council of Ministers Chairman Vjekoslav Bevanda agreed in Dubrovnik on Saturday to continue supporting joint projects, notably in infrastructure and the building of electrical energy facilities, Bevanda's office said in a press release.

The two officials spoke on the fringes of Croatia Summit 2012.

Milanovic said a lot of effort had been invested in defining a border agreement and that he was determined in efforts to eliminate all obstacles to its adoption.

Milanovic and Bevanda supported the construction of a bridge across the Sava near Gradiska, saying it was a very important investment and that its realisation should be stepped up.

They said the construction of the Dubrovnik 2 hydroelectric power plant was of strategic importance to both countries and that its realisation should begin as soon as possible.

Milanovic said Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina had common interests and that Croatia would help Bosnia on its road to European Union membership.
