On the first day of his stay in Romania, Josipovic will hold talks with his host Basescu and other Romanian officials in Bucharest.
Romania's parliament ratified the Croatia-EU accession treaty on 26 June, and the ratification process will be completed with the signature of the Romanian President on the ratification document.
On Tuesday, the Croatian head of state will attend a Romanian-Croatian business forum and visit ethnic Croatians in Lupak, Klokotici and Karasevo.
According to officials statistics, these municipalities have a 14,000-strong Croatian community.
