BELGRADE, May 30
(Hina) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel on
Wednesday extended congratulations to Tomislav Nikolic on his recent
victory in Serbia's presidential elections and expressed expectations
that Serbia would continue along the path to European Union
membership, said the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) whose leader
Nikolic was until he reigned from that position as soon as he won the
presidential elections on 20 May.
