"The dialogue in cultural diplomacy is very important because it addresses the public of the countries where it is active," said Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister Josko Klisovic, adding that the Dubrovnik conference was another attempt to contribute to the education of diplomats.
The three-day event was organised by the Croatian Foreign Ministry's Diplomatic Academy in cooperation with the Central European Initiative, the Euro-Mediterranean University, the London Diplomatic Academy, and the UN Alliance of Civilizations.
Representatives of Indonesia and Malaysia attended for the first time.
On the fringes of the event, Klisovic and Kosovo Deputy Foreign Minister Ibrahim Gashi signed a protocol on cooperation between the Croatian and Kosovo diplomatic academies.
