"I am not surprised. After he concluded an agreement on support with (Vojislav) Kostunica, I expected his victory as it meant an edge of a few percentage points," Cacic told reporters in Zagreb when asked to comment on the outcome of Serbia's presidential election.
Asked what Nikolic's presidential term meant for Croatia, Cacic answered: "Continuation of cooperation, no doubt."
He also forecast that with his becoming president, Nikolic's policy would dramatically change in comparison to the beginning of his political career.
"The responsibility stemming from being in power is something that significantly changes not only one's rhetoric but sometimes also one's political views," the Croatian official said.
