The mayors informed the President about their peace initiative, which is aimed at preventing nuclear proliferation in the world following the tragic consequences of the nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of the Second World War.
Josipovic expressed his support for the efforts of the cities which have joined the initiative and which support the Hiroshima-Nagasaki Protocol against nuclear weapons. He supported their initiative to lay a stone from Hiroshima in the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar as a symbolic call for peace in the world, the statement said.
