ZAGREB, Feb 21
(Hina) - The Governing Council of the Office for
detection, marking and conservation of graves of victims of crimes
committed after the Second World War issued a statement on Tuesday
opposing the possibility announced by the Minister of Veterans'
Affairs, Predrag Matic, that the Office might be dissolved and
attached to the Ministry of Veterans' Affairs, and expressing hope
that Parliament would not revoke the independence of the Office, which
was established by political consensus.
