CROATIAN FOREIGN MINISTER RECEIVES U.S. SPECIAL ENVOY

ZAGREB, Nov 22 (Hina) - The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Croatia, Mate Granic, on Monday received Charles Redman, a special US envoy to the conference on former Yugoslavia, accompanied by US Ambassador Peter Galbraith. Mr Redman voiced full support of his country for the document on free passage of humanitarian convoys in Bosnia-Herzegovina, signed by representatives of the three constituent nations of Bosnia-Herzegovina in Geneva on November 18. He stressed that the United States attached the greatest significance to that issue. He agreed that the process of releasing and exchanging all prisoners-of-war should resume. Mr Redman also expressed understanding for Croatian views regarding the territorial integrity of Croatia and the need to link the easing of sanctions against Serbia and Montenegro with the peace process in Croatia. Mr Granic informed the guests of numerous diplomatic moves made by Croatia in order to ensure the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian occupied territories, currently under UN protection, into the constitutional and legal system of the Croatian state and to put a stop to the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina. 221730 MET nov 93
