ZAGREB, Nov 22 (Hina) - President of the Croatian Parliament
Stipe Mesic received Monday representative of the Austrian
National Party in the National Assembly and representative in the
Council of Europe Friedrich Konig and Austrian Ambassador to
Croatia Andreas Berlakovich.
Mesic informed the guests about the topics which the Croatian
delegation discussed in the Council of Europe.
Konig warned that majority of members of the Bureau of the
Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe could request at
their first meeting on January that the Republic of Croatia
should be deprived of its status as a special guest. He pointed
at some positive signals Croatia should send to the international
community, in order to secure its position. Konig said that those
included the replacement of the general director of Croatian
Television and dissociation from president of Herzeg-Bosnia Mate
Boban.
