MOSTAR, Nov 15 (Hina) - In spite of the ceasefire which was agreed at the
request of the UNPROFOR British troops and through their mediation, Muslim
forces fiercely attacked Sunday the Croatian Defence Council (HVO)
formations, said a statement issued Monday by the Defence Ministry of the
Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia.
Muslims intensified their attacks on the battlefields of Uskoplje and Rama
and in the Kiseljak area. Three HVO soldiers were wounded in Trnovo area as
Muslim forces shelled the area.
Muslim commando teams attempted early Monday morning to enter the Makljen
area with the aim of cutting the Prozor-Gornji Vakuf road, said the
statement.
Four HVO soldiers were killed and six wounded on the Uskoplje front-line
in yesterday's Muslim attacks. HVO formations were forced to return fire.
UNPROFOR was informed Monday morning about Muslim attacks on the HVO
positions and about the fact that HVO was forced to return fire because
Muslim forces continued to shell and attack HVO positions.
