MOSTAR, Nov 12 (Hina/HABENA) - The Chairman of the House of the
Representatives of the Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosna (HR HB), Perica
Jukic, said yesterday that in Sarajevo "the process of the political
persecution of the Croats has been established as well as the totalitarian
approach to the solution of the future arrangement of the Republic" by the
act of arresting the head of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) of
Sarajevo, Slavko Zelic, who is a deputy of the House of Representatives of
the HR HB, and also by accusing him of "making unstable the strength of
defence of the State."
" In that context we have requested the Croatian Foreign Minister, Mate
Granic, to undertake certain measures within the scope of his tasks
according of the Joint Declaration, signed by Tudjman and Izetbegovic, in
order that he would mediate in release of Slavko Zelic and the other Croats
who are currently in the similar position," read the statement issued by
Perica Jukic in Mostar yesterday.
