STARA BILA, VITEZ, Dec 14 (Hina) - Bosnian army and HVO (Croatian
Defence Council) commanders for central Bosnia today signed
agreements on withdrawing troops from disengagement lines and on
freedom of movement - the latter exempting both sides' army and
police vehicles from being searched.
The agreements were signed by HVO Brigadier Filipovic and
Bosnian army Gen. Alagic at a British UNPROFOR base in Stara Bila,
near Vitez. Also present was British battalion Commander Col.
Edwards.
The meeting agreed that the disengagement of Moslem and Croat
forces had been carried out in full and without major trouble
except for minesweeping.
UN representatives pledged technical and expert help in
detecting and getting rid of unwanted mines.
The meeting agreed to UNPROFOR's proposal for opening another
four "blue routes" in Lasva Valley.
It was agreed that the routes would open one by one.
The Bosnian Moslems objected to UNPROFOR's tendency to send
unannounced tanks to roam the streets of Zenica - quite
superfluously, they said.
