SARAJEVO, Dec 2 (Hina) - The defence lines in the Bihac town
remained the same after the bitter clashes in the last 24 hours, a
spokesman for UN Protection Force (UNPROFOR) headquarters in
Sarajevo said today.
UN military observers reported that there had been severe
infantry clashes in the crisis area. The same sources added that
the Bosnian Army positions in the villages of Klokot, Zegar,
Glavice and the Grabez Plateau were exposed to Serb artillery
assaults. The Bangladeshi UN peace keepers counted 21 detonations
of cannon and mortar rounds in the Bihac surroundings.
The fierce Serb onslaught on Velika Kladusa was going on,
UNPROFOR confirmed. The Bosnian Army's Fifth Corps soldiers were
still in the town. The UN military observers yesterday registered
117 explosions of artillery shells in the wider Velika Kladusa
area.
