SARAJEVO, Dec 14 (Hina) - Clashes had recently reerupted in eastern
Bosnia, UN military observers reported in the last two days.
Bitter artillery and mortar clashes were registered west of
the Zepa town, one of the three eastern Bosnian UN-declared safe
havens, Ukrainian UN troops said adding they could not know what
was going on.
At least a hundred detonations were registered in the crisis
area in the last 36 hours, a UN Protection Force spokesman, Jan-
Dirk von Merveldt, today said in Sarajevo.
Fighting resumed near a demilitarized zone of Mount Igman,
south of Sarajevo.
Two Bosnian Army's and Police companies yesterday carried out
an attack on the Serb positions at Babin Dol, at the very boundary
with the demilitarized zone, according to the same source.
The Bosnian troops defeated the Serbs in the attack, and took
control over a strategic hill in that part of Mount Igman.
