MOSTAR, Dec 7 (Hina) - Croatian Defence Council (HVO) troops were
approaching Bosansko Grahovo in southern Bosnia, the Bosnian Croat
defence ministry said today.
Bosansko Grahovo is situated on the only road linking Serb-
held Banja Luka and Knin in occupied southern Croatia.
After liberating the village of Celebici yesterday, HVO forces
today liberated the villages of Bojmunte, Radanovci, Vrbica, Donji
Kazanci, Gornji Kazanci, Sormazi and Prizne in the Livno area,
southern Bosnia, the ministry said.
HVO forces managed to inflict considerable human losses on
Serb troops and seize two cannons and a quantity of anti-tank and
anti-aircraft weapons.
"Serb forces are retreating in panic, even at the risk of
being court-martialled and shot by the military police. Local
residents catcalled at Gen. Ratko Mladic, who came to Glamoc to get
the troops in order," the ministry said.
The HVO command this evening called the residents of Glamoc,
Bosansko Grahovo and Sipovo to withdraw toward Banja Luka to avoid
unnecessary bloodshed in impending infantry and artillery clashes.
Clashes in the Kupres area continued this evening, the
ministry said.
