NEW YORK, Nov 1 (Hina) - UN General Assembly is expected on
Thursday to discuss the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and its
members will be delivered a draft resolution on establishing the
sovereignty, political independence and territorial integrity of
the Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Croatia, as a co-sponsor of the resolution, will participate
along with other 40 members in the discussion.
The draft resolution spells out that Serb-conquered areas of
Bosnia are the integral part of B-H, in line with UN Charter.
Therefore, the occupied areas must be reintegrated.
The draft resolution also supports a peace plan of the five-
power Contact Group for Bosnia, and demands from Bosnian Serbs to
accept it unconditionally.
It also welcomes efforts of the Bosniac (Moslem) and Croatian
sides in the implementation of the Washington Accords.
It calls on the UN member states to extend cooperation with
Bosnia-Herzegovina in fulfilling its right on defence according to
UN Charter Chapter 7.
The UN Security Council is called on to consider lifting an
arms embargo against B-H.
The draft resolution condemns Bosnian Serbs for their military
operations against the territory of the Republic of Croatia while
cooperating with Serb paramilitaries, situated in the occupied
areas of Croatia.
