ZAGREB, Oct 2 (Hina) - The UNHCR Office in Zagreb today sent a
pamphlet to refugees in UNPA North in order to provide them with
objective information in connection with their possible decisions
on their own future.
Officials of the UNHCR and UN Civil Police, with the
assistance of 12 refugee representatives, started to distribute
pamphlets with appeals to return to homes in western Bosnia in
Turanj on Saturday afternoon. Leaders of the refugees in the
Batnoga camp did not agree to co-operate in the distribution of
pamphlets, so that the officials did not try to hand out the
pamphlets to refugees in the camp, said the source.
Despite the fact that the distribution in Turanj started with
no incidents, group of refugees soon used force to stop the
distribution.
