TASHKENT, Oct 2 (Hina) - Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Asim Kamilov
yesterday received Ambassador Darko Bekic, the head of a Croatian
delegation at a regional session of the Conference on Security and
Cooperation in Europe (CSCE) in the Uzbek capital of Tashkent.
Uzbek Foreign Minister and Croatian Ambassador Darko Bekic
talked about the bilateral relations as well as the multilateral
cooperation among countries in former Union of Soviet Socialist
Republic (USSR) and former Yugoslavia.
At the talks the two interlocutors assessed that there were
great possibilities for improving the economic cooperation between
Croatia and Uzbekistan, the biggest cotton exporter in the world
this year.
Croatian Ambassador yesterday held talks with Tadzhikstan's
Deputy Foreign Minister, Tajjudin Mardonov. Their talks revolved
around establishing better bilateral relations and political
cooperation.
During the CSCE regional conference in Tashkent Ambassador
Bekic met chief of delegations of other three central Asian
countries of Kirghizia, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenia.
At the talks Croatian Ambassador and his interlocutors discussed
possibilities of establishing diplomatic relations and mutual
support at the current UN General Assembly session and the CSCE
forthcoming sessions as well.
