BJELOVAR, Sep 6 (Hina) - Commander of the police station in Pakrac,
UNPA West, Nikola Ivkanec reported that UNPROFOR members had halted
members of the Croatian police, who had patrolled the Pakrac-Pozega
road, between the villages of Spanovice and Dragovici, and had
blocked the road at about 14:00 hours yesterday.
The Croatian policemen wore helmets and chain mails because
they patrolled the zone where Serb terrorists have been violating
ceasefire often, but UNPROFOR members said that chain mails and
helmets were military equipment.
UN Argentinian officers lifted blockade of the road after
negotiations with the Croatian police.
The Croatian party said at the meeting that the police only
wanted to protect its members, so that they wore chain mails and
helmets.
