UNPROFOR MALAYSIAN MEMBERS SET ABLAZE CROSS

MOSTAR, Aug 16 (Hina/Habena) - Members of the UNPROFOR Malaysian battalion set ablaze a cross on the Citonja hill in the Fojnica area (central Bosnia), a liaison officer of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) Zeljko Budimir told a correspondent of the Croatian radio of Herzeg-Bosnia, reported Habena. That act deeply hurt the Croat people in the region, said Budimir adding that members of the Malaysian battalion were requested to set up a new cross at the Citonja hill by 21 August. "Besides, we demanded that commander of the Malaysian battalion should publicly apologize to the Croat people in Bosnia- Herzegovina and to all Croats through media," Budimir said.
