MOSTAR, Aug 16 (Hina/Habena) - Members of the UNPROFOR Malaysian
battalion set ablaze a cross on the Citonja hill in the Fojnica
area (central Bosnia), a liaison officer of the Croatian Defence
Council (HVO) Zeljko Budimir told a correspondent of the Croatian
radio of Herzeg-Bosnia, reported Habena.
That act deeply hurt the Croat people in the region, said
Budimir adding that members of the Malaysian battalion were
requested to set up a new cross at the Citonja hill by 21 August.
"Besides, we demanded that commander of the Malaysian
battalion should publicly apologize to the Croat people in Bosnia-
Herzegovina and to all Croats through media," Budimir said.
If the requests are not meet by 21 August, HVO will not
guarantee security to the UNPROFOR Malaysian battalion in the
region, said the source.
