ZADAR, Aug 1 (Hina) - Head of the Skabrnja municipality Zoran
Gurlica sent a letter of protest to UNPROFOR after Serb
paramilitary formations had set ablaze six houses in Skabrnja (a
village in the hinterland of the Adriatic port of Zadar) at about
10 a.m. today.
Since Skabrnja is located in the UN Protected Area, Gurlica
wrote he found UNPROFOR directly responsible for "the latest
terrorist act" by rebel Serbs.
Gurlica recalled that not a single Serb had lived in the
village before the outbreak of war and asked UNPROFOR how they were
going to return the refugees to Skabrnja when they could not
prevent Serb forces from destroying and setting alight the houses.
