ZAGREB, July 15 (Hina) - Vaso Stambolija, the Serb from Zagreb,
forwarded an open letter to Croatian President Franjo Tudjman.
"Mr. President, according to the current situation it appears
that Mr. Dukic and Mr. Pejnovic (leader and deputy leader of the
Serbian National Party) are exclusive representatives of all Serbs
in the free Croatian areas, but they preach Martic and Mikelic's
theories (leaders of the rebel Serbs in the occupied Croatian
areas) on the necessity of creating some territorial federal unit
in independent Croatia. I, as well as other Serbs who are Croatia's
patriots because our ancestors were born in Croatia three hundred
years ago, request that you should relieve Mr. Dukic and Mr.
Pejnovic and other Serbs in the Croatian Parliament who have
similar views of their duties," says the letter.
