SPLIT, July 15 (Hina) - Turkey's President Suleyman Demirel arrived
in the Croatian southern coastal town of Split on Friday morning
beginning a three-day official visit to Croatia and Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
At Split Airport, Demirel and his associates were met by
Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic and Split County leaders.
Following hour-long talks, the Turkish delegation left for
Bosnia-Herzegovina where they are expected to meet the highest
officials of the Republic and the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
In the evening, Demirel will arrive in Zagreb to meet for
talks with his Croatian counterpart Franjo Tudjman.
On Saturday, the Turkish president will address a formal
session of both chambers of the Croatian Parliament, and on Sunday,
Demirel, Tudjman and Bosnian President Alija Izetbegovic are
scheduled to hold tripartite talks on the northern Adriatic island
of Brijuni.
