BUS FROM NOVI TRAVNIK TO SPLIT PASSES CHECK-POINT IN TRENICA

NOVI TRAVNIK, Apr 16 (Hina/HABENA) - After a year the bus with civilian passengers set off on Friday from the town of Novi Travnik (Central Bosnia) to Split (southern Croatia), reported the local Croatian Defence Council (HVO) sources on Saturday afternoon. The bus was held up at a check-point in the village of Trenica (in the Novi Travnik municipality) by the military police of Moslem- dominated Bosnian army, although free movement of civilians on a basis of reciprocity had been already agreed according to the peace agreement, said the same sources. The Moslem-led Bosnian military police demanded the consent of Moslem authorities for allowing free passage to the bus. Since the bus had been held up for a long time at the check-point in Trenica, it returned to Novi Travnik. After UNPROFOR's mediation, the bus again left Novi Travnik for Split and passed the check-point in Trenica without difficulty, reported HABENA this evening. 161858 MET apr 94
