ZAGREB, Apr 7 (Hina) - The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) Bench in
both Houses of the Croatian Parliament was addressed on Thursday by
Croatian President Tudjman. The session, which was held during the
noon break, was also attended by members of the HDZ Presidency,
said a statement issued by the Bench after the session.
In his address to the Bench, the President reiterated the
principles of the Croatian foreign policy, particularly with regard
to Bosnia-Herzegovina. He denied that there had been a reversal of
policy, stressing that the Croatian policy had consistently upheld
the interests of the entire Croatian people and the strategic
insterests of the Croatian state. This policy has been recongnised
by the world precisely because of its consistency, President
Tudjman noted.
The members discussed the case of House of Counties Speaker
Josip Manolic. The Bench expressed unanimous support to HDZ policy
under President Tudjman's leadership, said the statement.
